Shri Shri Ravi Shankar's visit to Indore

Got an opportunity to listen Shri Shri Ravi Shankar (who conceptualize and founded "Art of Living" worldwide). The program was organized in DAVV Auditorium and Nehru Stadium at Indore.

The excitement was too much to see him that we reached one day before as well to the place, without checking the date of programme in the Invitation card :))

The hall was full and we didn't get an entry to the auditorium and had to manage outside open sky seating area where the prior arrangements were done expecting the number of audience to come.

The program started well in time, before that there was lovely melodious bhajan recitation. I must say the music team had created an spiritual environment before his arrival.

I saw two times the gathering went to door, expecting the Shri Shri Ravi Shankar's arrival.  The mob was specifically students and not the followers of any sect. That was the good thing of this type of lectures.

As he arrived, he addressed the Indorians and said he had to be Indoor in Indore.Than he asked the gathering to start with QA session. In his message he said, dare to dream. He said have 2 targets in your life- One for yourself and One for the society.

QA session had lot of queries, among which I am sharing herewith the jest of his message.

He addressed the youth and said, before taking the dreadful decisions like committing suicide, take his permission first. If somebody is failed in love, it doesn't mean the life is finished. There are n number of best matches available leaving one who denied to accept your love.

On query "Why am I born", he said, the question itself is the answer and if you asked this, you got the mantra to success and the real meaning of life.

He mentioned the need of Gurus and their role in the society, he said Gurus were like guide in older times and if you feel distressed just discuss your problem with your class teacher or your gurus.

He discussed the importance of 4 pillars who always stand by in your life which was really beautiful mantra he shared- Mother, Father, Guru and God (Dev).

On question asked - how to stop oneself going in wrong direction. He said this is only done by either Love or Greed or Fear. You can choose the best option for yourself.

Pl do note, the Questions and replies are not word to word description but based on memory.

I was excited to see one blind man in his followers who came to listen him in the campus.

Hats off to the Indorians for their active participation in such ethical and society development gathering.
